State Sen. Hank Erwin launches campaign for Lieutenant Governor

Two term Republican state Senator Hank Erwin of Montevallo launched a campaign for lieutenant governor this afternoon in Pelham, vowing to champion a ban on abortions, to preserve the definition of marriage as being between a man and woman, and to protect homeowner's gun rights.
The Alabama electorate sees the Alabama Senate as a seat of discord and inaction, Erwin told a crowd of about 150 supporters gathered at the Pelham Civic Center. He hopes to change that with the help of a Republican majority and lieutenant governor displacing the current Democratic leadership.
"You've got to change the leadership in the Alabama Senate," Erwin said. "You, the people, deserve better."
