Why am I running for Lieutenant Governor in 2010? INTEGRITY
Many of my conservative colleagues and I believe the state senate needs honest and responsible leadership – right here and right now! Alabama deserves a leader that says "No" to higher taxes, powerful lobbyists, and “pork” spending and says "Yes" to wise use of MONEY earned by the taxpaying families of Alabama – money needed for education, social services, highways, etc. Abuse of the Lieutenant Governor’s gavel and its power to assist in approving irresponsible legislative spending has to stop – right here and right now! There was a public outcry as responsible senators watched helplessly in 2007 when the Lt. Gov. gaveled the legislators a 62% pay raise on a voice vote.
Alabama needs creative and progressive economic development. Prosperity will generate jobs and revenue for the families of Alabama. One creative venue of economic development not fully developed is MOVIES. Alabama has an unlimited resource of beautiful scenery and settings – mountains, meadows, towns, farms, lakes, beaches, etc. Alabama truly has it all to offer! I have traveled to Hollywood to lobby family movies for our state and the response to our valuable resources is positive. Together we can expand opportunities of economic development from the small businesses and farms to large industries and corporations.
I will stand for the families of Alabama! I will continue to stand for the sanctity of life and marriages! The MORAL fiber of our nation and our state is its strong foundation in values and Christian beliefs. I believe in the right to life upon conception and that marriage is a holy union between one man and one woman. Also, I will continue to preserve our right to bear arms – the 2nd amendment of our U.S. Constitution.
My campaign will focus on Money, Movies and Morals! I will be a Lt. Governor that is a watchdog of your money and your Christian values. I will be a Lt. Governor who will be innovative in the movie industry as well as other opportunities of economic development. In these challenging times lets stand together for the families of Alabama!
